Outfit Post: H&M + Art

Last Friday, I was part of an Art Exhibit called ARTivism as I raffled off Cake POP-in‘ Cake Pops.

Here’s my outfit from that night:

Hat, Blouse, Skirt, and Jewelry: H&M, Shoes: Jessica Simpson

My last minute outfits (and shopping trips) are usually my best ones. Keeping an artsy-chic outfit in mind, I decided to go to H&M. I love shopping there because it’s so easy to find something; the clothes are always organized in different departments, like work-attire, neutrals, etc., making it easy to mix and match, and, of course, a lot of their stuff is cute!

ARTivism was a charity event, whose goal was to raise funds for victims of domestic abuse in Yerevan, Armenia. I am so passionate about my Hayrenik (“Fatherland”) and my people, and it was an honor for me to be part of this event.

I had a great time at the event. I had the privilege of meeting some great people, including the wonderful comedian/artist, Vahe Berberian, two awesome bloggers, Luxe-Fix and Stiletto Beats, and the amazing photographer Melody Melikian and her sister Melany!

The banner says, “We are few, but we are called Armenians. -Paruyr Sevak” I took this picture for my dad because Sevak is his favorite poet! Listen to the entire poem translated in English here.

I saw so many amazing pieces of art, including paintings, photographs, and even jewelry. The ones that touched me most, however, were the following:

Does this look familiar? 😉

This piece are just adorable! Armenian grandpas are the cutest and this photo reminded me of my grandpa, my favorite person in the world.

This photograph is so powerful and it speaks for itself. President Obama, face the facts and admit to the Armenian Genocide! You can’t hide from the truth.

**Please comment if you know the artists’ names!

yours truly,
Ani
