Course Appetizer, Snack
Cuisine American

Ingredients

  • Hot dogs
  • Crescent roll dough
  • Mustard and ketchup for dipping and design
  • Candy eyes — or sub with sliced pepperoncini capers, or tiny dots of ketchup

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut each hot dog in half crosswise, then cut each half in half again (so you have 4 pieces total).
  • For each piece, make small lengthwise cuts on both ends to form “legs,” leaving the middle section intact for the spider’s body.
  • Wrap a thin strip of crescent roll dough around the top “body” of the hot dog.
  • Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden and puffed.
  • Let cool slightly, then add candy eyes (or your substitutes of choice).
  • Enjoy with mustard and ketchup—I even made a little web with mine! 🕸️🎃
