Halloween Spider Hot Dog Appetizer
These spooky-cute “spider” pigs in a blanket are the easiest Halloween appetizer ever! Perfect for parties, movie nights, or just a fun snack to make with kids.
Course Appetizer, Snack
Cuisine American
- Hot dogs
- Crescent roll dough
- Mustard and ketchup for dipping and design
- Candy eyes — or sub with sliced pepperoncini capers, or tiny dots of ketchup
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cut each hot dog in half crosswise, then cut each half in half again (so you have 4 pieces total).
For each piece, make small lengthwise cuts on both ends to form “legs,” leaving the middle section intact for the spider’s body.
Wrap a thin strip of crescent roll dough around the top “body” of the hot dog.
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden and puffed.
Let cool slightly, then add candy eyes (or your substitutes of choice).
Enjoy with mustard and ketchup—I even made a little web with mine! 🕸️🎃
