Halloween Spider Hot Dog Appetizer
These spooky-cute “spider” pigs in a blanket are the easiest Halloween appetizer ever! Perfect for parties, movie nights, or just a fun snack to make with kids.
Ingredients
- Hot dogs
- Crescent roll dough
- Mustard and ketchup for dipping and design
- Candy eyes — or sub with sliced pepperoncini capers, or tiny dots of ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut each hot dog in half crosswise, then cut each half in half again (so you have 4 pieces total).
- For each piece, make small lengthwise cuts on both ends to form “legs,” leaving the middle section intact for the spider’s body.
- Wrap a thin strip of crescent roll dough around the top “body” of the hot dog.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden and puffed.
- Let cool slightly, then add candy eyes (or your substitutes of choice).
- Enjoy with mustard and ketchup—I even made a little web with mine! 🕸️🎃
